The free COVID-19 screening service is valid for Etihad Airways passengers with valid tickets issued/reissued on 01 October 2020 until 31 December 2020, including redemption tickets. This service applies to all fares, except for passengers traveling to China and Passengers holding a staff travel ticket.
Any passenger over 12 years old is subject to COVID-19 Screening service before their flights, kids under 12 years old are excluded from the COVID-19 screening.
Passengers need to make sure that they book for the COVID-19 screening test 72 hours before flight departure, regardless of their destination’s guidelines.
COVID-19 RT PCR requires a nasopharyngeal swab sample. A nasopharyngeal swab is collected by having you tip your head back, and then a swab is gently inserted through your nostrils until resistance is met. It is left in place for a few seconds, then rotated to collect cells, and then removed. It is not painful, but it may itch and may cause your eyes to tear.
Passengers will receive their results within 24Hrs following their sample collection date.
A POSITIVE or DETECTED result means that most probably you have the virus COVID-19 and it is highly likely that you may spread the virus to others, and you are not allowed to travel. Please contact Etihad Airways to reschedule or cancel your ticket.

A NEGATIVE or NON-DETECTED result means it is likely you are not infected at the time of the test, and you are safe to travel within 72 Hours from the report issuing date.

AN INCONCLUSIVE result means that it is not possible to confirm or exclude the infection using the provided sample due to many reasons. It is highly recommended to repeat the test using a new sample after 48 hours, and contact your healthcare provider and in this case, you are not allowed to travel until you got a negative report and you are advised to contact Etihad Airways to reschedule or cancel your ticket.
All COVID19 issued reports will be valid for 72Hrs from the report issuing time.
Passengers will receive their results reports within 24Hrs following their sample collection time through their registered email and mobile no through email and SMS.
Passengers will receive a printable stamped result through their registered email, passengers need to print it to be presented during the flight check-in process.

Only First and Business Class passengers are eligible for the Free Home sample collection Service, yet Economy Class Passengers still can avail the service at additional fees per passenger, and it's subject to availability, please contact the support team at 8000 140001 to check the service availability.
All Home Sample Collection Services are subject to 24 Hours prior booking, passengers need to consider additional 24 Hours to avail the service.
